The working capacity of the school may vary, dependent upon the number of children at each stage and the way in which the classes are organised. There are currently 13 Primary classes and a nursery class.

Organisation of Classes:

The following guidelines set by Scottish Government apply.

• P1 maximum 25
• P2&3 maximum 30
• P4-7 maximum 33
• Composite classes maximum 25

Composite classes have pupils from more than one stage.

• The School Day Morning 09.00 -10.30
• Interval 10.30 - 10.45 10.45 - 12.15
• Lunch 12.15 - 13.00
• Afternoon 13.00 - 15.00
